How do I play Real Solitaire?

Learn how to play Klondike solitaire in Real Solitaire

Klondike, the version of solitaire most players know best, is played with one standard 52-card deck without jokers. Cards are shuffled and dealt into seven columns. The first column gets one card, the second gets two, and so on until the seventh column gets seven cards. The top card in each column is then turned face up. These seven columns are called the tableau.

The remaining cards form the stock, shown at the edge of the play area. Depending on your settings, cards are drawn one at a time (Draw One) or three at a time (Draw Three). Drawn cards are placed in the waste pile. When no more cards remain in the stock, tap or click the empty stock to redeal, if the current game mode allows another pass.

The four spaces above the tableau are the foundations. Your goal is to move every card to the foundations, building each suit in order from Ace to King.

To uncover the cards you need, you will move cards between the columns in the tableau. Tableau cards must be arranged in descending order, with colors alternating red and black. Only Kings, or a valid stack starting with a King, may be moved into an empty tableau space.
